Nasi Kandar Beratur 786 @KL

Pretty good nasi kandar. It doesn't close at 2AM though. It was getting ready to close at around 10 plus ish PM. I'd recommend adding the sambal from the sambal beef. It has a sour note which I think brings all the mixed curries together.

You can choose to sit with/without aircondition. The kuah campur ratio is just nice. Do try their kari telur sotong, crunchy fried bitter gourd. Ayam bawang is a good choice too. You can easily get freshly fried ayam goreng. Teh o ais limau, limau asam boi and apple asam boi (please ask for less sugar) makes a perfect pair for your nasi kandar. If you plan to go during weekend, 11-12noon is a perfect timing for your brunch.

Nasi kandar, the malay/indon worker was friendly. He was able to explain all the dishes available. That plate of rice and chicken amounting to RM8.

One of the famous Nasi Kandar Beratur restaurants chains. This one is located near the Melawat Mall and also food truck eateries at the front of the shop. There are a selection of dishes available here like chicken, squids, prawns, lamb and beef. There are fried, curry, masak bawang and more. The portions are quite sizable like a quarter for the ayam masak bawang. Although the name implies that you need to “beratur” you might not have to or long as there are plenty of sitting places and ample staff to assist. There are also air cond section if you need to eat in a cooling environment. The outside sitting is quite ok with wall mounted and celling fans. Parking is also plenty. A nice alternative if you don’t want to go all the to Penang for you Nasi Kandar Beratur fix. And the price is also reasonable.

Plenty of chicken choices from rendang, masak merah, fried, curry etc, squid, eggs, fish and vegetables You will have a choice of biryani or white with different choices of curry. Taste good, fair pricing and ought to make you come back for more.

A lovely restaurant serving delicious Malay food. They have a variety of curries (from chicken to beef to seafood) and ofcourse their freshly fried chicken. Service is quick and warm. They have plenty of dining space though I opted for takeaway. While my food capture may not be attractive as it was a mix of multiple curries and chicken dishes, it was super tasty. Beware, their spicy is !

I get the hype now. The nasi kandar was actually quite good at a reasonable price. Fast service. It's just that it was SO hot during lunch time. Maybe can put aircond outside also?
